Hi, I'm Jody
I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Public Policy Leadership at The University of Mississippi. I earned my doctorate from Mississippi State University in Public Policy and Administration. As a teacher, I instruct public policy courses that cover a wide range of topics, including general policy issues and specialized areas like food policy, economic development, nonprofit organizations, grant writing, and leadership development. My teaching approach focuses on utilizing critical analysis to identify solution-based strategies that can enhance the implementation of public policy and leadership.

Apart from teaching, I am also involved in an engaged scholarship agenda with nonprofit organizations, particularly on topics related to leadership and organization development. As the Executive Director of the Lafayette Oxford Foundation for Tomorrow (LOFT), which is the local community foundation providing grants to local nonprofits, I oversee the foundation's operations and work to ensure that the grants are distributed effectively.

Furthermore, I am the founder of Holland Consulting Group, which offers consulting services to public, private, and nonprofit organizations on various topics, including leadership training, policy analysis, grant writing, and organizational and program evaluation. Throughout my career, I have been involved in securing over $4 million in grant funding and producing over 30 peer-reviewed publications.
